**The Postmaster is the story of a Postman who belongs to the Calcutta city, but for his job he has to live in a village namely ‘Ulapur’**. He felt like a fish out of water i.e. he doesn’t belong to this remote village. Tagore’s Poetic Songs were viewed as a Spiritual and sudden change of mood, however, his magical poetry was remained largely unknown outside Bengal. His **wife’s name was ‘Mrinalini Devi’**. They had five children’s whereas two of their kids died in childhood.
