**Pankaj Ramanbhai Patel is the Managing Director and the current Chairman of India’s 5th largest [Pharmaceutical](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/37133/what-is-a-magic-bullet-in-reference-to-pharmaceutical-development) Company.** The ‘Cadila Healthcare’ is the pharmaceutical company of Patel and having it’s headquartered in [Ahmedabad](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/39442/who-founded-the-ahmedabad-textile-labour-association) city of Gujarat. The Cadila Healthcare was co-founded by his father in 1952 for the production of Vitamins. He joined the firm in 1976 and took the charge in his hand in 1995 after both the founding families separated their business. He holds the Post Graduate Degree in Pharmaceuticals and Pharmaceutical Technology from L. M. College of Pharmacy. As well as, a Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy as well from the University of Gujarat. However, his words didn’t work and he was out of India’s Richest List of 2005. **He played an active role in the fight against Swine-Flu. From the Drug Controller General of India, he took the approval for launching a vaccine “VaxiFlu-s”. The vaccine became the first made in India H1N1 Vaccine. His work has been highly appreciated through worldwide.** **He is also the Chairman of a Hospital Group “Zydus”. Zydus Hospital has a large chain of hospitals in Gujarat. In July 2017, his son Sharvil took over as the Managing Director of ‘Cadila’.**
