**The first [Electronic Computer](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/49119/which-company-is-ahead-in-electronic-computer-innovations) was invented by an American Physicist “John Vincent Atanasoff” in the year 1939.** He invented the Electronic Computer at ‘Iowa State College’. **Later, the machine was named as ‘Atanasoff- Berry Computer’ (ABC).**

**His invention came into recognition when President [George W. It has no CPU (Central Processing Unit) but was designed using Vacuum Tubes for Digital Computation. In Atanasoff-Berry Computer regenerative Capacitor Memory was used like [DRAM](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/30414/what-are-the-different-types-of-dram) Memory in present time. **Bulgaria named an award on him and present it every year with the title named ‘John Atanasov Prize’.** In 1978, he was honored with the title of ‘Iova Inventors [Hall of Fame](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/33144/how-many-years-must-a-player-be-retired-to-be-eligible-for-the-pro-football-hall-of-fame)’. In 1981, received ‘Computer Pioneer Medal’ from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics’ Engineering.
