**Virender Sehwag became only the second batter in the history of the game to achieve a [double century](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/48345/who-is-the-first-asian-to-score-a-double-century-at-lords) in one-day internationals on December 8, 2011**. At the **Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore**, **Sehwag went on to [score](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/126373/world-cup-2019-live-score) 219 runs** against the **[West Indies](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/48263/name-the-first-captain-of-the-west-indies-team)**[.](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/48263/name-the-first-captain-of-the-west-indies-team) Sehwag hammered **25 fours** and **seven sixes in his 219-run performance against the West Indies**, enabling **India to reach a score of 418/5** in the allocated **fifty overs.**

The match was then **won by India by 153 runs.** Sehwag represented India in **251 One-Day Internationals** and **104 Tests, amassing 8,273 and 8,586 runs** in total.
