Established in the year 1967 **National Institute of Technology, Silchar** in one of the most renowned institute of India. It is located in Assam and the college got **upgraded with the status of National Institute of Technology and was declared an Institute of National Importance under the National Institutes of Technology Act, 2007.**

## Fee structure at National Institute of Technology, Silchar :

- First Sem Ph.D. understudy (Hosteller) is to pay Rs.26,500/ - to SBI A/c No.30763009570 of N.I.T. Silchar.

- First, sem Ph.D. understudy (Non-Hosteller) is to pay Rs.23, 370/ - to SBI A/c No.30763009570 of N.I.T. Silchar.

- Ph.D. understudy of first sem (Hosteller) is to pay Rs.14,000 (mess progress) + 11,000 = Rs.25,000/ - to BHM, NIT Silchar payable at N.I.T. Silchar.

- Ph.D. understudy of different semesters (Hosteller) is to pay Rs.14,000 (mess progress) + 1,000 = Rs.15,000/ - to BHM, NIT Silchar payable at N.I.T. Silchar.

- Tuition Fee of Rs.7,500/ - is postponed for SC/ST understudies
