The total cost of the project is **1400** crores. The project was launched to provide a **low power technology solution** to each **Branch Postmaster (BPM)**. The aim of this low power technology solution is to enable more than **1.2 lakhs Branch Post offices (BOs)** of the country to improve their level of services being offered to rural customers. Manoj Sinha belongs to the **Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP)**. Mr Sinha represents Ghazipur in the **16th Lok Sabha**. Apart from the 16th Lok Sabha Mr Sinha was also the **Member of Parliament (MP)** in the **11th** and the **13th Lok Sabha**. Each time he represented Ghazipur in the **lower house (Lok Sabha)** of the Parliament. Manoj Sinha is the **Minister of State Ministry of Railways**. He assumed office on **26th May 2014** under **Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi**. He is also serving as the **Minister of State (Independent Charge) Ministry of Communications** in the Narendra Modi Government. He assumed office on **5th July 2016**.
