National Knowledge Network is a **multi-gigabit National Research and Education Network (an internet service provider)**. Connectivity will be provided to the institutes depending on the type of connectivity required by the user organization. Established in **2010** as a **public enterprise**, National Knowledge Network is headquartered in **New Delhi, India**. The enterprise was set up with an aim to serve the educational and research institutions in India. Some of the **key members** of the National Knowledge Network (NKN) are **Dr Rajagopala Chidambaram, Dr Sam Pitroda, Professor S.V. Raghavan, Dr B.K. Gairola, Mr R.S. Mani**. National Knowledge Network has got **IPv6 Segment (2405:8A00:: /32)** and **IPv4 segment (14.139.0.0/16 and 180.149.48.0/20)** from the **Regional Internet History for Asia-Pacific Region (APNIC)**. The **primary autonomous system numbers (Primary ASN)** are **9885, 55824, 55847**. The traffic levels of NKN is around **70-80 Gbps**.
