Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the commencement of work of the state’s first oil refinery on **Tuesday, 16th January 2018**. The project is expected to be completed within **4** years and is set to be operational by **2022** end. The estimated cost of the project is around **43000 crores**. The project involves refinery and petroleum complex of **9 MMTPA** capacity and is considered to be the **largest** investment in the state.
