The **Government of Bihar** has banned the manufacturing, distribution, sale, purchase, display and advertisement of electronic cigarettes in the state.

Electronic cigarette or E-cigarette is a kind of cigarette which is smoked through **Electronic Nicotine Delivery System (ENDS)**. **Ravindra Kumar Sinha** the **State Drug Controller (SDC)** issued a statement banning the sale and purchase of E-cigarette in the state both in offline and online mode. The statement has been sent to the **assistant drug controllers (ADCs)** and **drug inspectors** for the strict enforcement of this rule.

**Bihar** is an Indian state in the **eastern** and the **northern** part of the country. The state was formed on **22nd March 1912**. Bihar also shares its **international borders** with **Nepal** to the **north**. Bihar is formed by combining the three distinct regions of **Magadh, Bhojpur** and **Mithila**. The new state of **Jharkhand** was formed on **15th November 2000** by splitting the southern part of Bihar. The capital of Bihar is **Patna**. Bihar is of a bicameral legislature with **75** seats in the **Legislative Council** and **243** seats in the **Legislative Assembly**. There are **38** districts in the state with Patna being the **largest** city. **Mr Nitish Kumar** is the **Chief Minister** of Bihar. **Mr Lal Ji Tandon** is the **Governor** of Bihar. **Hindi** is the official language of the state.
