The **theme** of the **official emblem** of the **Indian** state of **West Bengal ‘Biswa Bangla’** was designed by the **Chief Minister** of the state **Ms Mamata Banerjee**. The logo with **Ashok Pillars** highlighting **Bengal’s Biswa Bangla** theme was launched by Mamata Banerjee on **Friday, 5th January 2018** after getting the approval for the logo from the centre on **Wednesday, 3rd January 2018**.

Mamata Banerjee was born on **5th January 1955** in **Kolkata, West Bengal, India**. After separating from the **Indian National Congress (INC)** party in **1998** she founded the **All India Trinamool Congress (AITMC or TMC)**. Mamata Banerjee is referred to as **Didi** and is serving as the **Chief Minister of West Bengal** since **2011**.
