**Indian Independence Committee** also known as the **Berlin Committee** was formed during **World War 1** in **Germany**. The organization was formed by **political activists** and the **Indian students** residing in the country. The **main aim** of this organization was to promote the cause of **Indian independence**. The organization was known as **Berlin-Indian committee** until **1915** when the organization was renamed to **Indian Independence Committee**. **Chempakaraman Pillai, Abinash Bhattacharya, Virendranath Chattopadhyaya (alias Chatto)** was some of the notable members of this organization. The organization became an integral part of the **Hindu-German conspiracy**. The organization was active till **1918** until it was disbanded in the same year in the month of **November**.
