**Fundamental [rights](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/41927/what-did-the-declaration-of-rights-and-the-oliv-branch-petition-have-in-common) of Indian constitution is the basic framework provided by our forefathers who dreamt of an ideal constitution that would serve its people and goad them to value the basic principles of democracy. Fundamental rights which are mentioned in Article 12 to 35**. There are six fundamental rights given in Indian constitution. As per the rule, only **President of India has the authority to suspend the fundamental right guaranteed by Indian constitution. Fundamental rights are the basics right given to every citizen to live a dignified life.** It is only suspended when the national emergency is imposed on the country and **President under the consultation of Prime minister and his Council of ministers.** b When an emergency is enforced Article 19 ceases automatically which provides us with freedom of speech.
