The five new sports that are added are **Baseball/Softball, Karate, Skateboarding, Sports Climbing** and **Surfing**. These games were proposed by the **Organizing committee** of 2020 Tokyo Olympics. There will be a total of **18** events comprising the five new games. **474** athletes including male and female athletes are expected to participate in these 18 events.
