**Antidiuretic Hormone** ADH is **also called arginine vasopressin**. It’s a Hormone made by the Hypothalamus and store in the previous gland that is **known as the Pituitary Gland.** It **tells that how much water a Kidney could consume**. It continuously **regulates and balances** the **amount of water in the human Blood** this is helpful to diagnose the level of water in the blood because sometimes the over amount of water [increase](https://www.mindstick.com/news/2333/mahindra-s-q4-profit-increased-by-46-as-vehicle-sales-increased-by-75) the pressure of vessels and can **cause various injury to our health system.** \

**Osmotic [sensors](https://www.mindstick.com/news/2135/to-remotely-eavesdrop-on-phone-calls-scientists-employ-sensors) and baroreceptors work with ADH in the [maintenance](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/333912/maintenance-made-simple-how-online-tools-enhance-property-management) of water metabolism.** These Osmotic sensors which are present in the Hypothelmus react directly to the concentration of particles in the blood. The particles which are present there include **Sodium**, **Potassium**, **Chloride**, and **Carbon dioxide.** \
Whenever the **particle concentration is not balanced** or in other words the **[Blood Pressure](https://www.mindstick.com/articles/311289/high-blood-pressure-symptoms-and-testing) is too low** then it **sends the signals to the Kidneys to store or [release](https://www.mindstick.com/news/2274/google-releases-an-update-to-chrome-os-107-that-includes-a-save-desk-for-later-option) water to maintain the healthy range of these substances**. They also regulate the sense of thirst in our bodies. \
**ADH level in our body** The **normal range of ADH** in the Human body is **1-5 picograms per milliliter.** This normal range can vary from one laboratory to another due to many reasons and the ADH levels are different from one person to another due to many reasons. \
**Deficiency of ADH in body** The **Deficiency of ADH in the body** is caused due to **compulsive water [drinking](https://www.mindstick.com/blog/300947/can-drinking-water-improve-mental-health)** and in other words, we can say the **low blood serum osmolality**. And the deficiency of ADH in the body may cause **central [Diabetes](https://www.mindstick.com/blog/300826/what-is-the-connection-between-diabetes-and-heart-health) Insipidus** which is caused by the **rare water metabolism disorder.** \
**Excess of ADH in Body** **Syndrome of inappropriate ADH** may be the cause of the too much presence of ADH and if the **condition is acute** one may have **suffered** a **Headache, nausea**, or **vomiting** but in severe cases **coma can also occur.** \
