Well, the bank which has the capital and reserves of over **Rs. 5 Lac** is known as **Scheduled Banks**.

These banks in India allude to those banks which have been incorporated into the **Second Schedule of Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934**. RBI thus incorporates just those banks in this Schedule which fulfill the criteria set down vide **segment 42(6)(a)** of the said Act. Banks not under this Schedule are called **Non-Scheduled Banks**.
