It is **one of the most common questions raised by numerous people especially in some parts of Uttar Pradesh** from past few months. that **shopkeeper has stopped taking the 1 rupee coins and not only 1 rupees** coin I faced similar problem a month ago when a shopkeeper denied taking **10 rupee coins.**

The **reason behind this idiotic activity is a fake rumor that Government has banned these coin which is just a hoax.** By going through this I got to know that even **there are few banks in which denied the deposits** done by people which are in the format of coins saying that banks don’t have a proper place to store these coin.\

This is something which needs to be stopped because such activities create disturbs local market which somehow affects in different ways. **Lead bank manager Pankaj Saxena said** in an interview that **“No banks holds the right to denying deposits which are in coins and if any bank is found practicing such activity legal actions can be taken on the particular bank”.** \
As you ask what can be legally done to stop such act so **you can simply file a complaint to consumer’s dispute redressal forum along with at-least 2 witness along with you.** \
