- At first quit skype selecting Skype> Quit Skype

- Then open the application folder and drag down the copy of Skype to the trash option

- Then open the Library/Application Support * and drag the Skype folder to the trash option. The ~ sign represents your home folder. To find your home folder, open Finder and, from the menu bar, select Go > Home

- Well if you want to keep your chat history and call records you can skip this step

- Then at last Open ~/Library/Preferences and drag com.skype.skype.plist to the trash option.
