**The Android operating system was conjointly founded by Andy Rubin, Rich Miner, Near Sears and Chris White.**

**Later, Google purchased Android Inc. in the year 2005 for $50 million** and the core founders of Android Rubin, Miner, and White, joined Google Corporation.
