**Goa is the state which hosted the 6th edition of India’s premier open water swimming competition** which is **renowned as” Swimathon”**. Every year this” Swimathon” is been conducted by the SFI (swimming federation of India) and this whole event is organized to opt out swimmers for the **selection at a national level.**

**This year it started from 3 December 2017 at Colva beach which is located in South Goa,** the whole tournament was **categorized into 4 categories** which were **for both for men and women.** More than **1000 swimmers** of all around from different states took part in this competition.
