Automation of the IP Configuration is executed by the **Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol** which thus manages the network and also the assignment of the IP address to a node. It provides the automation to the allotment of the IP address to a device. It can be enforced over the meager local networks and also gigantic firm network.

DHCP assigns new IP addresses every time when a device is been traveled from one location to another thus it shows that there is no manual allocation of the IP address to the devices. DHCP has two types of Internet Protocol that is **IPv4** and **IPv6**. \
