**Ashes** is a test cricket series which is played between Australia and England. It started in the year 1882, Ashes came in the introduction when Australia defeated England for the first time on **English soil.** The first match of Ashes series was held at **the Oval, England on 29th August 1882**.

Till now there have been **325 matches** were played in which Australia has led by **winning 130 matches** whereas England team has managed to win on 106 occasions.

**Ashes** is considered as one of biggest rivalry series between England & Australia.\
