Shopping carts were developed by **Sylvan Goldman**. He invented shopping carts in the year 1937 on June 4. Sylvan Goldman was the owner of **Humpty Dumpty** supermarket chains in **Oklahoma**.

The idea of i**nventing shopping cart** came in his mind at night thinking how his customers can move carrying huge amount or quantity of grocery here and there. it was a simple but a useful invention as we know how hard it is do shopping without a cart in the supermarket especially when you have to take too many things.
