The decision of awarding Liu Xiaobo was **praised** all around the world. He was a literary critic, poet, human rights and activist and a freedom fighter.

the decision of giving him the award was widely praised by **intellectuals** and leaders all around the world. There were numbers of countries including Saudi Arabia and Russia also denounced the award and what they regarded as interference in China's domestic affairs. \
