ChatGPT voice mode turns ChatGPT into a spoken conversation partner. You talk naturally, and ChatGPT replies out loud in a realistic voice, with quick responses that feel close to a real conversation.

To use it, open the ChatGPT app on your phone, or the desktop or web version, and tap the voice icon next to the message box. It usually looks like a sound wave. Grant microphone permission the first time. Then start speaking. You can interrupt ChatGPT while it is talking, change the subject or ask it to repeat something.

In settings, you can choose from several voices with different tones. Voice mode understands many languages, including Hindi, and can switch languages mid-conversation if you ask.

Voice mode often includes extra abilities. In many versions, you can share your camera or screen during a voice conversation, so you can point your phone at something and talk about it. ChatGPT can also search the web during voice chats for current information. When you finish, a transcript of the conversation is usually saved in your chat history.

Some tips help. Use earphones in noisy places for better recognition. Speak clearly and naturally; you do not need to talk slowly like with older voice assistants. If you want shorter spoken answers, say so, because long spoken replies can feel tiring.

Voice mode usage has limits, especially on the free plan. Also be mindful of privacy. Avoid discussing sensitive personal or financial details in public, and review the app's data settings to understand how voice data is handled.
