# Can Several URLs for the Same Page Confuse Google’s Indexing?

A page on our site can be reached through more than one URL because of tracking parameters and a trailing-slash variation. The content is the same, but Search Console sometimes lists different versions, and I’m unsure whether that’s normal or a sign we’ve created an SEO problem.

How does Google decide which URL to treat as the main one when these versions are available? I’d also like to understand whether the issue is mainly about indexing, ranking signals, or how reports appear in Search Console.
