# Why Does X Fail to Upload Images on Mobile Data When the App Otherwise Works?

I can scroll, reply, and load posts in the X app over [mobile data](https://www.mindstick.com/blog/11509/what-is-the-impact-of-big-data-on-mobile-marketing), but image uploads keep failing. The same photo usually uploads when I switch to Wi-Fi.

Has anyone run into this? I’m wondering whether the cause is an app setting, a carrier restriction, or something about image size or format. If you found a fix, what changed it?
