# Why Can Organic Search Traffic Fall Even When My Rankings Look Stable?

Our main search terms appear to be holding their positions, but organic visits have slipped over the last few weeks. I’ve checked a couple of rank trackers, and none shows a major drop.

What would you compare next when **stable keyword rankings** don’t seem to match the traffic trend? Could changes in impressions or click-through rate explain it, or should I first check whether the analytics setup and landing pages are reporting consistently?
