# Why Aren’t My Recent Posts Appearing in X Search?

My posts are public, but a recent one doesn’t appear when I search for an exact phrase from it on X. Older posts from my account do show up, and a few followers can see the new one on my profile.

Is this usually a delay in [search indexing](https://www.mindstick.com/blog/303164/google-witnessed-its-indexing-bug-content-delay-in-search), or can account activity, post wording, or [search filters](https://www.mindstick.com/news/4236/new-telegram-update-introduces-collectible-gifts-message-search-filters-and-more) keep a post out of results? I’m trying to work out whether there’s anything useful to check before assuming the post simply isn’t being surfaced.
