# Should a Small Website Block AI Crawlers From Its Articles?

I run a small site and have started noticing more questions about AI crawlers in my server logs. I understand that blocking them may limit how my writing is used, but I’m also unsure whether doing so could reduce the chance of my pages being found through AI search tools.

For a site that depends on organic visitors, how are people weighing that trade-off? I’m especially interested in whether the answer changes for original reporting or practical guides, rather than large publications with a legal team.
