# Why Does Reddit Remove My Post Even Though It Follows the Subreddit Rules?

I’ve had a couple of posts removed from different subreddits even though I checked the rules and couldn’t spot a clear violation. In one case, the post disappeared almost immediately; in another, it stayed up for a while before being taken down.

Could **automatic moderation filters** be catching things like account age, link format, or certain words? I’m trying to work out what information is useful to include when asking moderators about a removal, rather than reposting and making things worse.
