# Why Does Google Ads Report More Conversions Than GA4?

Our Google Ads account is reporting noticeably more conversions than GA4 for the same campaigns and date range. The gap isn’t consistent across every campaign, which makes it hard to tell whether we’re comparing different kinds of credit or whether something is misconfigured.

When investigating **Google Ads conversions** against **GA4 conversion reports**, which settings should I check first—attribution model, conversion windows, imported events, or reporting time zone? I’m trying to understand what a normal difference looks like before changing tags or bidding settings.
