# Why Do My LinkedIn Posts Get Impressions but Few Profile Visits?

Some of my LinkedIn posts get a decent number of impressions, but hardly anyone clicks through to my profile. Other posts with similar topics seem to bring in more visits, even when they reach fewer people.

Is this usually about the audience seeing the post, the way the post is written, or whether it gives readers a reason to learn more about the author? I’m curious which LinkedIn analytics are most useful for understanding the gap between reach and **LinkedIn profile visits**, especially for people posting to build professional credibility rather than sell directly.
