# What Causes Injection-Molded Parts to Warp After Cooling?

We’re seeing flat [injection-molded parts](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/117635/why-do-injection-molded-plastic-parts-warp-after-they-leave-the-mold) come out of the tool looking fine, then develop a slight twist as they cool. It happens more often on wider parts, but not consistently across every batch.

For people who work with **injection-molded parts**, which variables are worth checking first: uneven wall thickness, cooling time, mold temperature, or the way the part is ejected? I’d like to narrow down likely causes before changing several settings at once.
