# Why Does My External Monitor Look Blurry at Its Native Resolution?

My monitor is set to its advertised native resolution, but text and fine details still look softer than they do on the laptop screen. The display is connected through a USB-C adapter, and changing the resolution makes the image either too large or even less clear.

What settings or connection details should I check first? I’m especially interested in whether display scaling, subpixel layout, or the adapter can affect how sharp **native resolution** looks.
