# Can AI Meeting Notes Identify Speakers When People Talk Over Each Other?

I’ve tried AI meeting summaries that capture the main points well but sometimes assign a sentence to the wrong person when two people speak at once. That makes the notes awkward to share, especially when an action item or decision depends on who actually said it.

How reliable is [speaker attribution](https://www.mindstick.com/forum/162466/can-claude-preserve-speaker-attribution-in-a-long-interview-transcript) during overlapping speech, and what do you do to check it before circulating notes? I’m curious whether a cleaner recording helps enough, or if these moments still need a human review.
