# When Should Localized Website Pages Use Hreflang Tags?

Our site has separate pages for a few regions, and some of them are translated while others only change currency, shipping details, or spelling. I’m unsure which versions should be connected with **hreflang tags**.

Should hreflang be reserved for pages in different languages, or does it also make sense for regional versions written in the same language? I’d also like to know what to do when a page has no close equivalent in another locale.
