# Why Do Other People Hear an Echo of Their Own Voice in Microsoft Teams?

During Teams calls, other people sometimes hear their own voice a moment later, even though I don’t hear an echo on my end. It happens more often when someone in the meeting is using laptop speakers, but not consistently.

Could this be caused by audio feedback from one person’s setup, or can Teams’ device settings create the same effect? I’m trying to narrow down what to check when **Microsoft Teams echoes during a call** without asking everyone to change settings at once.
