# What Should I Do When Perplexity’s Cited Sources Disagree?

I’m using Perplexity to research a topic and have run into a problem: two cited pages seem to support different claims, even though the answer presents them together. Sometimes a citation also appears relevant to the paragraph but doesn’t clearly back the specific sentence.

How do you check **conflicting citations** in an AI-generated answer? I’m interested in a practical way to trace a claim to its source and decide whether the disagreement comes from outdated information, different definitions, or a weak citation.
