# Did the Green Revolution Benefit Small Farmers Across India Equally?

The [Green Revolution](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/39440/what-was-the-main-objective-of-green-revolution-in-india) is often described through its gains in crop production, but I’m curious how evenly those gains reached farmers. Did small farmers in regions outside the early adopters benefit in similar ways, or did access to irrigation, credit, and improved seeds make a major difference?
