# Why Did My Electric Vehicle’s Range Estimate Drop After Switching to Winter Tires?

After putting winter tires on my EV, the estimated range at a full charge fell noticeably. The battery’s state of health looks normal, and my usual route hasn’t changed, though temperatures have dropped too.
