# Why Do Google Search Console Clicks Exceed Analytics Sessions?

I’m comparing Google Search Console with my analytics dashboard for the same site and date range. Search Console reports more clicks from Google than the number of organic sessions shown in analytics. I expected the figures to be close, so I’m trying to understand what each one is actually counting.

Which differences in measurement, consent settings, or tracking setup commonly explain this gap? Is there a sensible way to compare **[Search Console clicks](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/117544/why-did-organic-search-sessions-fall-after-a-redesign-when-search-console-clicks-did-not)** with **analytics sessions** without treating them as identical metrics?
