# Why Is Perplexity Citing an Outdated Version of a Webpage?

I updated a page a few weeks ago, but Perplexity still quotes information that was removed and links to the same URL. The current page loads normally in a browser, so I’m trying to figure out whether the issue is with how the page is indexed or how the answer is being assembled.

Has anyone found a reliable way to tell whether Perplexity is using a stale search result, an older cached copy, or another page that repeats the outdated details?
