# Why Can Google Discover Traffic Fall While Search Traffic Stays Steady?

I’m trying to understand a traffic pattern on a small news site: Discover visits have dropped sharply over the past few weeks, but Google Search clicks look about the same. The pages are still accessible, and I haven’t made a major site redesign.

How do you tell whether this is ordinary Discover volatility or a sign of a problem with the site or its content? I’d also like to know which reports or page-level signals are worth checking before changing headlines or publishing strategy.
