# Why Does LinkedIn Still Show the Old Image After I Update a Link Preview?

I changed the headline and social sharing image on a blog post, but LinkedIn still displays the previous image when I paste the URL into a new post. The page itself looks correct, and its source contains the updated `og:title` and `og:image` values.

I’m trying to understand how **LinkedIn link previews** are refreshed:

- Does checking the URL with LinkedIn Post Inspector update only future shares, or can it affect posts already published?
- If I replaced the image without changing its URL, could LinkedIn be caching the image separately from the page?
- What should I check if Post Inspector cannot retrieve the updated Open Graph metadata?

I would prefer to keep the article’s existing URL rather than add a query parameter just to force a different preview.
