# Will My Passkeys Move With Me When I Switch From Android to iPhone?

I’m switching from an Android phone to an iPhone and want to avoid losing access to accounts that use passkeys. Some were created through Google Password Manager, while others may be stored in a separate password manager.

Passwords are easy enough to check before moving, but I’m less clear about **passkey migration between phones**. Does signing into the same password manager make its passkeys available on the new phone, or do I need to register a new passkey with each website?

### Before I erase the old phone

- How can I identify which provider stores each passkey?
- How do synced passkeys differ from device-bound passkeys during a move?
- If I can sign in by scanning a QR code with the old phone, does that mean the passkey has transferred, or only that the old phone approved that login?

What should I test on the iPhone while the Android phone is still available? I’d also like to know which **account recovery options** to verify for services where I no longer routinely use a password.
