# Why Does LinkedIn Show an Old Link Preview After I Update My Article?

I changed an article’s headline and featured image on my website, but LinkedIn still shows the previous version when I paste the URL into a new post. The page itself looks correct, including in a private browser window.

I’m trying to work out whether this is a website issue or something LinkedIn has cached. Before changing anything else, which checks would help narrow it down?

- Should I check the page’s **Open Graph meta tags** rather than just the visible headline and image?
- Does LinkedIn’s Post Inspector refresh the preview for future shares, existing posts, or both?
- Could keeping the same image URL after replacing the image file explain the old thumbnail?

I’d prefer to keep the article URL unchanged rather than add a random query parameter whenever I share it. What is the most reliable way to troubleshoot this?
