# Why Is My Laptop’s Reported Battery Capacity Lower Than Its Advertised Capacity?

My laptop’s battery report shows a full-charge capacity well below the capacity listed in the product specifications. The laptop still gets through a normal work session, so I’m not sure whether this points to wear, a reporting issue, or simply a difference in how those numbers are measured.

How should I interpret a **battery health report**, and when is the gap large enough to consider replacing the battery?
