# In Cricket, What Makes an Umpire’s Call Decision Different From an Out Decision?

I understand that an umpire’s call can leave the on-field decision unchanged after a DRS review, but I’m not clear on why that outcome is treated differently from a straightforward “out” or “not out” result.

How do the ball-tracking margins affect the decision, and what happens to a team’s review when the result is umpire’s call? A plain-language explanation would help, especially for close lbw decisions.
