# Why Are Visitors Landing on the Wrong Language Version of My Website?

Our site has separate pages for a few languages and regions, but search visitors sometimes land on a version that doesn’t match their location or language. The pages are indexed, and the URLs look right, so I’m wondering whether the issue could be in our **hreflang annotations**.

What should I check to understand why search engines are choosing the wrong regional page? I’d also like to know how long it normally takes for corrected signals to show up in **regional search results**.
