# Why Does My Phone Battery Lose Charge Even When I’m Not Using It?

My phone can lose several percent of its charge overnight while it’s sitting untouched. I’ve checked that the screen is off, but I’m not sure whether this is normal background activity, a weak signal, or a sign that the battery is wearing out.
